Two heavy motor vehicle drivers for the province are off to Austria after winning in the best of the best competition that took place last week in Pretoria at Boekenhoutkloof Traffic College.
The province was represented by six drivers: J Schrieber from Cacadu district came out first while J Hanse from Chris Hani district took second position and were thus selected to represent the country in Austria during month of September 2010.
The drivers who participated in this competition are various category winners of the national Driver of the Year competitions that were held in 2008 and 2009.
The objective of the competition was to select heavy motor vehicle drivers who will represent the country in Austria. The competition was conducted under the auspices of Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC).
