Two Botswana citizens die in car accident on Lichtenburg-Zeerust road

North West police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two Botswana citizens died at the scene of a car accident on the Lichtenburg-Zeerust road on Sunday afternoon after the Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle which was pulling a quad cycle trailer overturned.

It is alleged that two Indian families were returning from a hunting trip, when the driver of the vehicle with Botswana registrations lost control of the vehicle after one of the wheels of the quad cycle trailer it was pulling came off.

Four members of the two families who survived the accident, for instance; two children, a woman and a male driver were rushed to private hospitals in Klerksdorp and Rustenburg for medical attention after being treated by paramedics at the scene of the accident.

North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa has conveyed condolences to the two families that have lost their beloved ones in the accident and wishes the injured members a speedy recovery.
