Traffic Officers in Lejweleputswa District, Free State province arrested 4 speedsters today. Leading the pack was a KIA LMV accosted travelling at 181km/h on N1 between Winburg and Ventersburg. Along the same stretch of road a driver in an Audi A4 was nabbed speeding at 176km/h.
On N1 south of Winburg, a driver in VW Polo was accosted speeding at 165km/h. The driver of a BMW X5 was arrested speeding @ 166km/h in an 80km/h zone on the R30 road. People did not believe when the MEC for Police, Roads and Transport, Honourable Butana Komphela warned that reckless drivers are not going to escape the vigilance of Law Enforcement.
"I want motorists to sober up and think twice when they enter the Free State”, said the MEC.
