Three people, a married couple and a woman were killed in a head-on collision involving a Corolla and Corsa sedans on the Koster and Swartruggens road on Thursday afternoon around half past four.
Police are investigating cases of culpable homicide after both drivers of the two vehicles and a passenger from the Corsa died at the scene of the accident.
North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa conveys his condolences to the two families and urges motorists to exercise caution whenever they overtake and to drive within the permissible speed limit.
