The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport would like inform residents in Hammanskraal and surrounding areas about the temporary closure of the Temba Driving License Testing Centre (DLTC), north of Pretoria. The department has approved the extensive renovation of the Centre over a 12 month period.
The purpose for the renovations is to enhance our service offering and improve our efficiencies to citizens in the Hammanskraal area. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause to all.
We would like to bring the following to your attention:
- All light Driver’s License collections will proceed as per usual until the 23rd August
- All Heavy vehicles’ collections will proceed until the 1st September
- The centre will also remain open for collection of driving license cards which had already been ordered until 1st September 2014.
However, the following services will be affected by the temporary closure:
- All bookings have been suspended with immediate effect
- Public drivers’ licenses/permits have also been suspended
- Roadworthiness testing will be suspended from the 1st of September 2014
Once again, the department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
