Limpopo police have arrested two suspects after they were caught in possession of police equipment.
The two men, one from Tembisa and the other from Mecklenburg, were arrested on Sunday after they were stopped by police during stop and search patrols. The search of their car revealed a SAPS reflector jacket, constable insignias as well as unlicensed 9mm pistol with its serial number filed off.
The origin of the police equipment, as well as the fire-arm is being investigated. The suspects will appear in the Mecklenburg Magistrates’ Court tomorrow on charges of the possession of an unlicensed fire-arm as well as impersonating a police official.
