Appeal decision:
* Proposed upgrading of the fuel storage facility at OR Tambo International Airport
* Proposed construction of the Transnet new multi-products pipeline between Durban and Jameson Park, near Heidelberg
* Proposed construction of the South African navy’s submarine escape training simulator in Simon’s Town harbour, Western Cape province.
The Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Ms Buyelwa Sonjica, has considered the appeals lodged against the department’s environmental authorisation of the above-named projects.
After evaluating all the appeals and relevant information submitted to her, the Minister has come to a decision.
