In the light of the nature on some of the reporting following my response to the parliamentary question (Response to question posed by legislature on fees paid to non-executive members of Blue IQ, 25 May 2010) I wish to state that I have full confidence in the members of the Board of Blue IQ, and in the competence of the board.
I also wish to express my appreciation for the diligence with which the board and the management team have addressed the challenges faced by Blue IQ over the last 12 months. I make particular reference to the steps taken to align Blue IQ’s work with the mandate of the shareholder, to improve financial management, clearing 227 audit queries and to simplify the corporate structure.
