Acting President Kgalema Motlanthe has on Tuesday, 20 September 2011, in terms of the National Prosecuting Authority Act, 1998 (Act No. 32 of 1998), and after consulting with the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Development and the National Director of Public Prosecutions, appointed the following persons as Directors of Public Prosecutions:
- Advocate Sowabo Barry Madolo – Eastern Cape High Court, Mthatha
- Advocate Xolisile Jennifer Khanyile – Free State High Court, Bloemfontein
- Advocate Khehla Masenyani Andrew Chauke – South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg.
All the three appointments are with effect from 1 September 2011.
