In Caster Semenya, our 800m World Athletics Champion, a star has been born. As Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA), we wish to congratulate her for flying our flag high in Berlin last night, despite the raging controversy about her gender.
As we celebrate Women's Month, we hope that Semenya's victory will inspire all women, especially those who were made to think less of who they are, to turn their lives around.
We wish all South African athletes competing at the World Athletics Championships the best of health.
