The Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa, Minister Fikile Mbalula (MP) has received the sad news of the passing away of the Former Springbok and Western Province centre Tinus Linee, who was suffering from Motor Neuron Disease. Linee, who was diagnosed with MND in 2013 passed away early this morning.
Linee is remembered mostly for his exploits for the Western Province and the Stormers where he played his entire provincial rugby at. He also played nine tour games for the springboks between 1993 and 1994. We wish to to extend our deepest condolences to the Linee family, especially his wife Diana and the children. We shall be meeting his family and details relating to his memorial and burial shall be communicated soon
