Special Easter media Liaison Plan and fatal crash information

The Road Traffic Management Corporation in partnership with the Department of Transport, NETCARE 911 and ER24 has deployed a special national Freeway Broadcast Unit as part of its media liaison plan. The unit comprise of a chopper and ground crew which will operate along various arterial routes, specifically the N1 towards Moria City (Polokwane) where a huge volume of traffic is expected.

Easter weekend fatal crash information

As in the past, the Road Traffic Management Corporation will not issue daily crash stats. Crash statistics reports which may be issued by other stakeholders during this long weekend will not be recognized by the Road Traffic Management Corporation.

A final consolidated and verified crash stats report will be issued by the Ministry of Transport at the end of the Campaign.

Motorists are urged to report bad driving on 0861 400 800.
