The Public Protector’s report on an alleged South African Police Service (SAPS) lease agreement for the Middestad Building in Pretoria will be released next week on a date to be announced shortly.
Initially scheduled for this week, the release of the report was delayed by SAPS’s request for extension of the deadline to respond to the Public Protector’s recent request for more information and comments following an interview with an additional witness and receipt of comments from Treasury.
The SAPS will now submit its response by Friday, 18 February 2011, paving the way for the completion and release of the report.
