South Africa getting ready for Confederation of School Sport Associations of Southern Africa (Cossasa) Games

Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) is helping to prepare a team of 121 athletes and officials that will be participating in this year's Cossasa Games in Swaziland.

The event, which is a school sport event in three codes; football, volleyball and netball was won by South Africa last year.

The participants will be competing in the U17 age group and will consist of promising players selected from this year's national Winter Games in school sport.

Countries that will be participating in the event include Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola and Lesotho.

SRSA is supporting the preparation of the athletes by paying for a preparatory camp held at the high performance centre (hpc) in Pretoria.

The event takes place during the first week of September.
