The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr J Radebe, will sign a cooperative agreement with the Swiss Ambassador towards the revitalisation of Small Claims Courts. The Swiss Government, through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, has been a partner of the department on a project to revitalise Small Claims Courts for the past four years. This partnership has been extended with a R10 million injection for a further four years.
The signing ceremony will give media an opportunity to interact with the department, small claims court commissioners and law firms involved in Small Claims Courts.
