Heavy rains and Gale force expected along the South East Coast, wild coast and adjacent interior as well as the former Transkei region.
Areas to be affected along the coast include but not limited to:
- Kenton on Sea,
- Ndlambe ( Port Alfred),
- Buffalo City Metro (East London),
- Port St Johns
Adjacent interior include amongst others:
- Ngqushwa (Peddie),
- Umtata,
- Matatiele
Precautionary measures:
- Listen to local radio stations for warnings on road closures
- In areas where flooding might occur remove items from the floor
- Ward Councillors to facilitate municipal assistance for relocation of people to places of safety, viz. schools, community halls etc.
- Should flooding be severe move to a nearest safe place e.g. schools, community halls
- Utilise emergency number 112 for any form of assistance in emergency situations
