Following a successful 2010 Tax Season which saw millions of taxpayers filing their tax returns on time, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) is expanding its footprint through the opening of a new branch in Edenvale, Johannesburg.
In line with SARS’s ongoing programme to modernise its offices and services to taxpayers, the new Edenvale branch will be equipped with the latest technology and incorporate modern design elements that will make service delivery more streamlined and convenient.
The Edenvale branch, on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Street and Van Riebeeck Avenue, will open its doors for business on Monday 13 December 2010.
In order to render an improved service to greater volumes of taxpayers, SARS staff from the Germiston branch and the Carlton Centre branch will be relocated to the Edenvale branch. Some SARS personnel at the Carlton Centre branch were previously relocated to the refurbished Rissik Street branch.
The Germiston and Carlton Centre branches will cease operating on Friday 10 December 2010.
A full range of services will be available to taxpayers at Edenvale, including amongst others:
- General queries
- A Tax Practitioners Unit
- Tax Clearance Certificates
