The Road Traffic Management Corporation, in conjunction with various sponsors, will launch the Easter Mobile Broadcast Unit which will be deployed along various major arterial routes and hazardous locations over the Easter weekend.
The unit, which comprises four vehicles, two from Ford (SA), two from Suzuki Auto and two choppers from ER24/Discovery, will report on traffic volumes, traffic patterns, road closures, major crashes and weather forecasts around the clock and throughout the weekend. The unit will also provide tips and hints on road safety.
