Recruitment, selection and enlistment of reservists as permanent members in the South African Police Service – Eastern Cape

The National Task Team dealing with the recruitment, selection and enlistment of reservists as permanent members in the South African Police Service – Eastern Cape will start their visit to the Province tomorrow in Port Elizabeth.

This will be followed by visits to East London on Wednesday, Queenstown on Thursday and Mthatha on Friday.

A total of 4 389 Eastern Cape reservists are expected to benefit through the use of the following criteria:
- permanent residence in South Africa
- aged between 18 and 40
- served a minimum of three years as a reservist
- must have completed reservist training
- no previous criminal convictions
- valid drivers licence will NOT be a prerequisite
- be prepared to undergo prescribed fitness assessment
