Public Protector Adv Thuli Madonsela wishes to clarify the statement she made during the interview with Umhlobo Wenene radio station that the judges’ clerks prepare draft judgements for judges.
While this is true with regard to some democracies, this is not the case in South Africa. The Public Protector therefore apologises to South African judges for the misunderstanding that this statement has created.
