Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela observes 16 Days of No Violence against Women and Children in Lehurutshe, North West

Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela has appealed to organs of state to be considerate when dealing with victims of gender based violence to ensure that people do not suffer injustice.

Her office will be in Lehurutshe on Monday, 26 November 2012, to observe 16 Days of no violence against women and children.

The event is in line with the national 16 Days campaign and is held under the theme: “From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World. Let’s challenge militarism and violence against women and children.”

The Public Protector will also use the event to bring her office’s services closer to the communities of Lehurutshe. She will be accompanied by investigators from her office to take complaints. People with complaints are urged to bring supporting documents to assist in the investigations.
