Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba spends his 67 minutes in Witbank

Public Enterprises Minister, Mr Malusi Gigaba together with the Mpumalanga provincial leadership and a delegation from Eskom kicked-off in Witbank Hospital where he handed over a 177 000 litres water storage facility, this was a response to an acute water shortage which has severely affected the area.

Minister Gigaba went on to Mmamogele Combined School for 67 minutes of bricklaying to continue building an additional four classrooms at a dilapidated school. Minister Gigaba rounded up his Mandela Day at Dunbar Primary School where he handed out 100 school uniforms, fixed the school doors and windows at the school and planted a few trees. After everyone sang for Madiba, Minister gave out food parcels to the elderly and thanked all volunteers who participated on the day.

"What you are doing today is well appreciated. It is for the betterment of the country and the world. You are the hope of our country. Measure your contribution to society by the fullness of time. It will be the total small things we do today that change the lives of others,” said Minister Gigaba.

Eskom’s Chairperson, Mr Zola Tsotsi and the Kusile Power Station project General Manager Mr Abram Masango also visited schools and a home for the disabled in Witbank.
