The Eastern Cape Department of Transport recently held its annual provincial wellness games on 18 August 2011 at the Cacadu District, in Port Elizabeth.
These games form part of efforts by wellness in ensuring healthy employees that can be able to deliver on the sports fields without any health problems.
As it is customary with these games, departmental employees from all the districts and head office, get a rare and unique opportunity of competitive banter against each other by clashing in Soccer, Netball and Volleyball matches.
Played at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University sports complex, the matches gave all participants the platform to show case their skills in the hopes of impressing the selectors, as they were used as trials to select provincial teams to represent the province at the National Games to be held in Johannesburg.
