President Jacob Zuma has today, 5 June 2014, wished Mrs Epainette Mbeki, mother of former President Thabo Mbeki, a speedy recovery following her admission to an East London hospital.
The struggle veteran and wife of the late struggle icon Mr Govan Mbeki, was admitted to the hospital after she complained about shortness of breath.
“The prayers of the nation are with Ma Mbeki and the family at this time. On behalf of government and the people of South Africa I wish her a speedy recovery,” said President Zuma.
