President Zuma sends condolences to the families of victims of a road accident in Mpumalanga

President Jacob Zuma has learned with sadness of a tragic road accident in White River, in the Mpumalanga Province, in which 10 people burnt to death, and 40 others were injured yesterday.

"We are really saddened by this horrific loss of life on our roads. We want to make a strong appeal to all our motorists, pedestrians and South Africans at large to obey the rules of the road and drive responsibly at all times to avoid such loss of life on our roads,” said President Zuma.

"I wish to express, on behalf of government and the people of South Africa, our heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the victims. May their souls rest in peace! We also wish all those who were injured a speedy recovery,” the President said.
