The Presidency has noted media reports suggesting that President Jacob Zuma will attend a horse racing event in Durban, KwaZulu Natal, on Saturday, 6 July 2013. The reports are not true.
President Zuma will not attend the 2013 Vodacom Durban July. He has also has not authorised anyone to use his name to raise funds at the event. The Presidency wishes to caution people about unauthorised use of the President's name.
The Vodacom Durban July remains a key event in the KZN social calendar and the Presidency wishes all the revellers a successful and enjoyable event.
