Harare: President Zuma, who arrived in Harare late last night and was hosted for a state dinner by President Mugabe, has today, Friday, 28 August 2009, met with all the key political partners in the inclusive government as part of his efforts aimed at assisting the partners in implementing the Global Political Agreement.
As a guarantor of the Global Programme of Action (GPA) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) Chairperson, South Africa has long been seized with efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the GPA. Since his arrival in Harare, President Zuma has held bilateral meetings with both President Mugabe as well as Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
President Robert Mugabe, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Arthur Mutambara are participating in the meeting. Upon conclusion of the Trilateral meeting with President Zuma, the delegation will depart for the Harare Agricultural Show where President Zuma will officially open the 99th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show aimed at strengthening the economic ties between the two sister countries.
President Zuma and his delegation return back to South Africa later today ahead of his address on Saturday, 29 August 2009, to the Jewish Board of Deputies Conference as well as the official launch of the Rural Electrification Programme in Giyani, on Sunday, 30 August 2009.
