President Jacob Zuma has today, 3 September 2013 extended condolences to families and friends of the victims of the fatal crash that killed seven people today on the N2 between Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape.
Amongst the deceased was a two year old child and four other people sustained minor injuries and were admitted to various hospitals.
"As government we are saddened and shocked by this horrific accident. We are extending our warmest condolences to families and friends of the victims. We also wish those who were injured a speedily recovery.
"We appeal to all motorists, pedestrians and South Africans at large to respect road rules and drive responsibly to avoid loss of life on our roads,” President Zuma said.
