The Presidency has noted a report that President Jacob Zuma snubs big business. The report is incorrect.
The president has gone out of his way to work with business on key projects such as efforts to mitigate the impact of the global economic recession. The visits of the president abroad, as well as incoming state visits, also have a strong business element to boost economic ties and trade on the continent and across the world.
The president values interaction with business as a key sector in the growth and development of the country.
The Presidency will engage Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) to seek clarity regarding the comments made in the media about their relationship with government and to address any misunderstanding.
