President Jacob Zuma has congratulated the South African Paralympics team on their sterling performance at the Paralympics games in London, UK.
As the Paralympics games drew to a close today, the South African team ended the world tournament with an impressive total of 29 medals - eight gold, 12 silver and nine bronze.
"We extend our heartiest congratulations to the South African team for their significant achievement. The Paralympic Team has done us proud once again through their exceptional achievements. We always look forward to collecting many medals through the Paralympic team and indeed, they did not let us down in London. They confirmed once again that South Africa has what it takes to be victorious in sports", said President Zuma.
