President Zuma arrives in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga for the Siyahlola Presidential monitoring visit

President Jacob Zuma has arrived in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga where he will undertake a Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring visit. This visit is in line with the National Disability Awareness Month, (3 November to 3 December) which drew to a close yesterday.

President Zuma will monitor progress made by the Mbombela Municipality, in Mpumalanga in the protection of disability rights and related government services to the communities as part of his Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring Programme.

He will visit various projects that have been undertaken by the Mpumalanga Province to improve the lives of the disabled people.

The President will begin by visiting the Tentele Activity Centre, a centre that provides skills for people with disabilities.

He will then do a walk-about at Tenteleni Primary School, a school that caters for both able and disabled learners.

President Zuma will also visit the Kanyamazane Community Health Care Centre where he will assess for himself how accessible the facilities are, for the disabled people.

He will conclude his monitoring visit with a community engagement session at the Bergvlam High School in Nelspruit.

The President is accompanied by Mr David Mabuza,Premier of Mpumalanga, Mr Collins Chabane, Minister in the Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, Minister for Social Development, Ms Lulu Xingwana, Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Ms Mildred Oliphant, Minister of Labour, Mr Jeff Radebe, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr Thulas Nxesi, Minister of Public Works, Mr Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Health, Ms Angie Motshekga, Minister of Basic Education, Mr Nathi Mthethwa, Minister of Police, Mr Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Economic Development , Ms Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, Deputy Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities as well as Provincial MECs.
