President Jacob Zuma meets Netherlands Prime Minister, Mark Rutte

President Jacob Zuma has today, 22 January 2015, held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Netherlands, His Excellency Mr Mark Rutte, on the margins of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

South Africa and Netherlands enjoy strong bilateral relations and the meeting served to further enhance cooperation in social, economic, cultural and political arenas.

The two leaders singled out agriculture, ports as well as water and sanitation as some of the key areas the two countries will be enhancing cooperation on.

President Zuma invited the Prime Minister to South Africa for an official visit and Prime Minister Rutte accepted the invitation.

President Zuma is on a working visit to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
