President Jacob Zuma holds bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi of India

President Jacob Zuma has today, 28 October 2015, held bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi ahead of the Third India-Africa Forum Summit taking place from 28-30 October 2015.

The two leaders discussed amongst other matters, the progress in implementing the decisions of the 9th Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC); the importance of economic cooperation and growing trade and investment; Global Governance reform, specifically the United Nations Security Council reform; and the hosting by India of the India, Brazil, South Africa (IBSA) Forum Summit.

President Zuma also invited Prime Minister Modi to pay a visit to South Africa in 2016.

The President is accompanied by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ms Nkoane-Mashabane.
