President Jacob Zuma extends condolences on the passing of South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Journalist Mr Kgomotso Sebetso

President Jacob Zuma has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) journalist, Mr Kgomotso Sebetso who passed away this morning, 9 May 2011, following a car crash last night. Mr Sebetso was part of the SABC team that covers the Presidency and President Jacob Zuma.

“We have learnt with great shock of the tragic and sudden passing of Mr Sebetso. This is a great loss for the journalism profession and a great loss for the country. Mr Sebetso conducted himself professionally and took his task of imparting information and knowledge to South Africans and beyond very seriously.

Many young people who want to be journalists looked up to him because of his proficiency in his craft. As the Presidency, we will miss his efficiency and his thoroughness; we will miss his affability as well as his dedication to his country and its people. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and his colleagues at the SABC,” President Zuma said.
