President Jacob Zuma directs all spheres of government to restore normalcy

The Acting President of the Republic of South Africa, Minister of Environmental Affairs, Ms Edna Molewa is keeping President Jacob Zuma briefed in Davos, Switzerland, about the situation in Soweto in Johannesburg and Malamulele in the Limpopo Province.

The President has instructed the Security Cluster in Cabinet as well as the provincial and local government leadership in Gauteng and Limpopo to work together to bring the situation under control and work towards restoring normalcy.

President Zuma will fly back to South Africa today, Friday 23rd January 2015.

The President Zuma is on a working visit to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
