President Jacob Zuma has congratulated the Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Mr Lesetja Kganyago, for winning the Central Banking Governor of the Year 2018 Award as announced today, 31 January 2018.
“We congratulate Governor Kganyago for this Award. This international recognition is one of many acknowledgments affirming the good work done by the institution," said President Zuma.
Governor Kganyago was also recently appointed as the new chairperson of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC).
