President Jacob Zuma congratulates AB de Villiers on on being named International Cricket Council's One Day International Cricketer of the Year

President Jacob Zuma has extended his hearty congratulations to prolific run scorer Mr AB de Villiers on being named International Cricket Council's One Day International (ODI) Cricketer of the Year, and for achieving the landmark of scoring 7 000 ODI runs.

President Zuma who is currently attending the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane, Australia, has also wished the national cricket team, the Proteas well ahead of their ODI match against Australia to be played today, Sunday, 16 November 2014 at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground in Perth.

"Mr de Villiers has done the country immensely proud with his sterling achievements and we wish him all the best going forward. We also stand fully behind the national team as they face Australia today," said President Zuma.
