President Jacob Zuma arrives in Angola

His Excellency President Jacob Zuma has today, 22 August 2013, arrived in Luanda for consultations with the President of the Republic of Angola, His Excellency José Eduardo Dos Santos, and the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), His Excellency Joseph Kabila Kabanga.

The consultation is a follow-up to a meeting held by the three Presidents on 12 March 2013 in Luanda. The three Heads of State are expected to discuss a range of issues relating to peace and stability in the region, particularly the current peace efforts in the DRC.

President Zuma is accompanied by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana Mashabane; Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula; Minister of State and Security, Dr Siyabonga Cwele; Minister of Police, Mr Nathi Mthethwa; Minister of Energy, Mr Ben Martins, and Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mr Lechesa Tsenoli.
