President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of section 221(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, read with sections 5(1) and 8 of the Financial and Fiscal Commission Act, 1997 (Act No. 99 of 1997), appointed the following persons as members of the Financial and Fiscal Commission for a period of five years, with effect from 28 July 2014:
(a) Mr Sipho Lubisi
(b) Dr Gilingwe Mayende
(c) Dr Sibongile Muthwa
"We congratulate these members on their new roles and we are certain that they will serve the Commission to the best of their abilities," said President Zuma.
