President Jacob Zuma appoints Media Development and Diversity Agency Board members

President Jacob Zuma has appointed two new members to the Board of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA).

President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of section 4(1)(b) read with section 8(2) of the Media Development and Diversity Agency Act, 2002 (Act No. 14 of 2002) and on the recommendation of the National Assembly, appointed Ms Louise Vale, Executive Director of the Association of Independent Publishers to the MDDA Board.

The President has also, in terms of section 4 (1)(c) read with section 8(2) of the MDDA Act, 2002 (Act No. 14 of 2002), appointed communication consultant and former Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Sun and Sunday Sun, Mr Emmanuel Themba Khumalo, as a member of the MDDA.

Ms Vale is appointed with effect from 5 February 2015 and Mr Khumalo with effect from 28 January 2015. They will both serve the board for a period of three years.
