President Jacob Zuma has extended his condolences to the Premier of the Free State, Mr Ace Magashule and the provincial government on the tragic and untimely passing of Health MEC Fundiswa “Fezi” Ngubentombi and her protector Seargent BC Motaung in a road crash yesterday, 1 December in Bloemfontein.
MEC Ngubentombi attended a rally and launch of a day care centre by the President in Qwaqwa yesterday.
“We are deeply shocked at the MEC’s passing. This horror crash has robbed us of a hard-working, dedicated and energetic MEC. She was wholeheartedly committed to her work and was to be found in every corner of the province, working hard to improve the living conditions of the people. It is a great loss of a young life, we are deeply saddened. We extend our condolences to the provincial government, to her family and to the family of her protector Sgt Motaung. May their souls rest in peace’’, said President Zuma.
