On behalf of the people of Mpumalanga and the Executive Council, I want to wish all learners who will be sitting for the 2009 final examinations the best of luck. The 2009 academic year is coming to a close and it is that time of the year when you should apply your minds and pay your full attention to your studies.
Mpumalanga province, wants to extend our full support to all of you. The matric examinations are an important stage and a climax of the school calendar. You have invested time, planning and a lot of effort in preparing for these matric examinations, it is our belief that such effort will see you through. We also want to extend our gratitude to your educators, parents and stakeholders in education for their dedication and support. May your hard work and dedication to your studies bear good fruits this time.
Matric examinations should not be a source of anxiety on your part. Stay calm and focused. Beyond the matric examinations as you await the results, prepare yourselves in a positive way for whatever the outcome may be. What is important is that you have done your best and if needs be, there will be an opportunity to improve on this best.
Mpumalanga province and South Africa require that you perform at your utmost best as better opportunities beckon for those who make it through. We want to encourage you not to look back, but to take advantage of this opportunity and do well at the matric examinations.
Make Mpumalanga proud and all the best for the final examinations.
