NWest to maintain its record on housing delivery
The residents and housing beneficiaries of the North West will continue witnessing the increase of housing delivery as the Provincial Government continue to make a difference in the lives of many people who have been waiting for years to get houses.
In her State of the Province Address at the Provincial Legislature on Friday, North West Premier, Thandi Modise, said the provision of Outcome 8 deliverable is an obligation that her province will continue to realise without any excuse.
“The programme of giving our people houses has proven to be one of the most fundamental interventions in the history of rolling out services to our people in making a significant impact in their lives,” said Modise.
The Premier further outlined that the Provincial Government would unblock a number of blocked housing projects to maintain the status of being the best performing province in housing delivery in the country.
During the 2013 National Govan Mbeki Awards, the North West Provincial Government was recognised as the best performing province following a success in spending the Human Settlements Development Grant that was allocated for the province.
The Govan Mbeki Awards are designed to recognise and showcase the excellent work done and promoting the best practice in housing delivery.
