Premier SOR Mahumapelo has on behalf of the Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of Kgosi Lucas Mangope.
Kgosi Mangope passed on yesterday at the age of 94.
The Office Of the Premier has officially received a message from the family and will work with the family to ensure that Kgosi Mangope is given a dignified funeral.
Premier Mahumapelo and the entourage of the Provincial Government will visit the family on Sunday to offer condolences on the demise of Kgosi Mangope.
“When I became Premier in 2014, Kgosi Mangope was one of the people I visited to tap on his wisdom” Mahumapelo said.
Mangope played a pivotal role while leading the United Democratic Party (UCDP) which is an opposition party in the North West Provincial Legislature.
The media will be informed of further developments after a visit to the family on Sunday.
