Premier Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo together with MEC’s and senior government officials, is in attendance of Keorapetse Sebego’s funeral, Dr Lydia Sebego’s son who is being laid to rest today in Borakalalo.
In his address to the mourners at a packed Lutheran Church, Mahumapelo assured the Sebego family that government is fully behind them during their bereavement.
“As a family you raised Keorapetse and expected the best from him like all other families do on their children. You must never regret that you did not raise your child properly. We have no control but can only wish that our children grow up properly. God has shaped everyone’s destiny. “Mahumapelo said.
Mahumapelo also used the opportunity to assure Dr Lydia Sebego that she must not be shaken by the recent criticism against her even at a time when she was on bereavement.
“There are people who have been planning to make Dr Lydia Sebego’s life difficult by discrediting her and making all sorts of malicious and unsubstantiated allegations against her.” Mahumapelo asserted.
Mahumapelo reiterated that Dr Lydia Sebego is an academically well qualified administrator with a wealth of experience that is vitally needed in the public service.
He further thanked the Sebego family for affording government an opportunity to convey a message of support during their bereavement.
