Bokone Bophirima Premier Supra Mahumapelo has called on young people to play an active role in addressing socio-economic challenges facing them, in line with the theme for this year’s Youth Month: Youth Moving South Africa Forward.
As from tomorrow Sunday June 14, Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government will be hosting information sharing sessions with young people across the province, part of build-up activities for 16 June.
The main aim of these sessions is to teach young people the values and significance of June 16, given the role played by the youth of 1976 in fighting for better life and education in the country.
The sessions also aim to highlight ways and means by which the current generation can play their part in addressing socio-economic conditions they find themselves in.
Premier Mahumapelo says government has always viewed the youth as the most important layer in society, adding that Youth Month marks an important period for reflection on youth development, including progress made for the development of young people.
