Premier Mathabatha condemns the gruesome killing of Precious Ramabulana

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha conveys his deepest condolences to the bereaved family of 21 year old Precious Ramabulana, who was stabbed 52 times on Sunday.

Precious Ramabulana was found dead in her student accommodation in, Mokomene, after being attacked by an assailant in the early hours of the morning. She was a student at Capricorn TVET College in Mokomene, Ga-Ramokgopa, under Molemole Local Municipality.

“We call on the entire society and the Police to work together to apprehend the person who committed this barbaric act. This has indeed not only shocked the family but the Provincial Government as well. We urge the law enforcement agencies to work hard and leave no stone unturned. The person who did this must face the full might of the law”, said Premier Mathabatha.

This comes at a time Limpopo Province hosted the National launch of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa at Witpoort Police Station, Lephalale on the 25 November 2019 under theme: Enough is enough: Together fast-tracking implementation to end Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Our society don’t need such people roaming in our street. As a Province, we are not going to tolerate such acts. It’s upon ourselves to work together to combat gender-based violence and femicide.
