Premier Sefora  Ntombela calls for communities to work together in combating crime

The alleged flaring gang warfare between rival gangs in Mangaung has prompted Premier Sefora ‘Sisi’ Ntombela to attend to the matter as a matter of urgency.

During an announced visit by the Premier to Caleb Motshabi informal settlement and JB Mafora township on 10 September 2018, residents relayed horrifying stories of gang violence in the area.

Premier Ntombela has assured residents of the area that the Department of Police, Roads and Transport will promptly address the alleged escalating gang violence in the area.

“Our people should never live in fear. Mitigation measures such as visible policing in the area will help reduce the alleged crimes taking place. Our people need to be protected at all times, so we must therefore all work together to ensure that the Free State is a crime-free province where all its people, young and old, live together in harmony,” she said.
