Premier Modise condemns artistic depiction of Helen Zille and President Zuma

In condemning the artistic depictions of DA leader Helen Zelle and President Jacob Zuma in her Policy Statement and Budget Speech delivered in the North West Provincial Legislature, Premier Thandi Modise called on South Africans to wake up and to be ready for the test to reclaim their names, dignity and land.

Premier Modise said that our democracy is slowly being turned into anarchy by those who think any African is slow, stupid and has no emotional intelligence.

“Our fathers, husbands and sons are treated like objects as it was during the days of colonialism and oppression. Our histories are being erased by those who were responsible for the scars and humiliation. Stand firm for, in the end, the truth always wins,” said Modise.
