Premier Cassel Mathale sends condolences on the passing of Limpopo centenarian Koko Moloko Temo

Limpopo Premier Mr Cassel Mathale has expressed grief on the passing of one of the oldest persons in the country. Koko Moloko Temo was 135 when she passed on yesterday on 3 June 2009. At 135, she was undisputedly one of the oldest persons alive in the world. “Limpopo Province was her home and we are thankful to her family for having allowed her to share the remaining part of her life with us.”

“One of the proudest moments we remember about her, was when she voted in the 22 April general elections. This makes her a democrat at heart and one of the defenders of our freedom” said Premier Mathale.

Koko Temo lives behind her only surviving daughter, Evelyn Mothemane, 29 grandchildren and countless great grand children. We convey our deepest condolences to her family and relatives during this moment of grief.

May her soul rest in peace!
